Hand Luggage Only: Packing Guide

Bank holidays are coming up. And whether you’re escaping to the country or nipping away for a summer city break, packing for a weekend away can be a challenge. We’ve all been there, from the creased and crumpled to the mismatched and uncomfortable. Take some of these tips with you on your next trip for effortless style and freedom from heavy baggage.

The Basics. Packing separates can be tricky. Think minimal, with paired back colours and comfortable style. Grey T-shirts are always a favourite.

The Double Up Dress. A dress that can move seamlessly from breakfast to the beach to the bar. Working your wardrobe smarter, by wearing your dress over a swimsuit or with a pair of comfy trainers for those days of busy sightseeing.

Styling in Your Sneakers. Regardless of where you are headed, it is highly likely you will need a pair of trainers. Ensuring comfort from the haul through the airport, seeing you through long explorative days of wandering.

Fancy a Quick Dip. Throw in a swimsuit to ensure you’re never caught off guard. It may happen to be an unseasonably warm day at the beach or your hotel may have a pool.

Multi-tasking Makeup. Streamline your makeup bag by utilising a couple of good-quality multitaskers – whether it’s a dry oil that’ll soothe frazzled strands and sun-parched skin or a rose-tinted balm that can double up for both lips and cheeks.

Carry A Cross Body.  Leave your baggage at home. Choose a simple leather crossbody for all your essentials, and forget the oversized and awkward.
